pin

bar

clevis
joint
on
the
piston
rod
attaches
to
a
rear
plate
(sold
separately)
on
the
back
of
the
engine.
One
cylinder
is
used
on
single
engines
and
two
cylinders
on
multiple
installations.
Single
engines
with
RH
rotation
mount
the
ram
on
the
starboard
side
of
the
engine.

POINTS for steering and
tie bars that are not provided
on the stock engines. LATHAM
MARINE INC. manufacturers
a wide variety of plates from
316 stainless steel to fit
most large outboards. Performance
boats should use rear plates
to attach SIDEMOUNT STEERING
RAMS and tie bars because
this eliminates the play caused
by steering through the tiller
arm and engine mounts. Engine
powerheads never need to be
removed to install LATHAM
outboard plates, but cowlings
will sometimes have to be
modified. |

These
valves
offer
smooth
responsiveness,
with
autopilot
speed
adjustment.
The
steering
rams
are
locked
when
the
autopilot
valve
is
idle.
They
are
equipped
with
a
protective
anodized
billet
aluminum
body
and
are
available
in
12
or
24
VDC.
